Bsc / Msc project: Investigation of the possibilities and limits of Direct Laser Writing of microchannelsM.Sc. project: Coherent control of five coupled oscillatorsM.Sc. project: Crime scene trace identification using Raman detectionM.Sc. project: Fluorescence detection for cancer lesion identification (endoscopic and endo-microscopic)In collaboration with the UMCG (de Vries, Nagengast) we work on the visualisation of cancer lesions using targeted fluorescent dyes. The dyes are functionalised to adhere preferentially to the cancerlesion so that the surgeon can be guided in the removal of suspicious tissue. Our part in this research revolves around the optimization of the fluorescence detection and the use of multi-spectral imaging to quickly identify regions of interest. To improve the sensitivity we will use a combination of pulses sources and pulses detection, spectral differentiation.
